Grass-fed beef tallow cream

Beef tallow was used for skincare for centuries before mineral oil- and water-based products replaced it. Animal Based is revisiting this simple formula – with short ingredient lists and no fragrances.

What is beef tallow cream?

Beef tallow cream, or beef tallow balm, consists of rendered beef fat. It is water-free and therefore more economical than classic creams, which consist largely of water and require emulsifiers and preservatives.

What is our skincare made of?

The beef tallow balm contains four ingredients: beef tallow, olive oil, beeswax, and vitamin E. No perfume, no essential oils, no colorants, no preservatives.

Tested safety

Our skincare is tested by dermatest for skin compatibility – the beef tallow balm received an "excellent" rating. In addition, a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) is available; according to this assessment, the product is suitable for use from the age of one year. Animal Based is among the first providers in Germany with a CPSR for a tallow product.

Application

Take a small amount with clean hands and apply thinly to dry or stressed areas of skin – face, hands, lips, elbows, knees. The tallow melts at body temperature. Especially pleasant on slightly damp skin, such as after a shower. For external use only.

Origin and production

The beef tallow comes from pasture-raised cattle in the EU. Production and bottling take place in Germany. The products are halal-certified by m-haditec GmbH, Bremen (Reg.-No. 150527haevoey).
