Grass-fed bovine collagen
As a powder, tripeptides, or halal -
laboratory-tested, bottled in Germany.
Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the mammalian body and the main component of connective tissue, skin, and bones. Animal Based offers bovine collagen in three variants – as a powder in two versions and as capsules.
Which collagen products are available?
Collagen Hydrolysate Powder containing collagen types 1 and 3, peptide size approx. 2000 Daltons. Raw material from EU grass-fed cattle, processed in Switzerland, packaged in Germany.
Halal Collagen Peptides in 200 g and 450 g, halal-certified by m-haditec GmbH. Raw material from grass-fed cattle from Turkey, processed in Switzerland.
Collagen Tripeptide Capsules with approx. 500 Daltons and natural vitamin C from acerola. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, bones, cartilage, gums, and blood vessels.
Collagen hydrolysate, tripeptides, or gelatin?
All three come from the same raw material and differ in their degree of breakdown. Gelatin is the least broken down; it gels and only dissolves in warm liquids. Collagen hydrolysate is enzymatically broken down into smaller peptides; it does not gel and dissolves in cold liquids as well. Tripeptides consist of chains of only three amino acids and are the most broken down.
Usage
10 g of powder daily is recommended, which corresponds to about one heaping tablespoon. Thanks to the agglomeration process, the powder dissolves in both cold and warm drinks. It is tasteless and contains 92 g of protein per 100 g.
No additives
Animal Based collagen powders consist exclusively of bovine collagen – without sweeteners, flavors, colors, or fillers. Every batch is tested for microbiology and heavy metals in an accredited German laboratory, and the analyses are publicly available.
