Bone broth is created by simmering beef bones. During this process, collagen and collagen-typical amino acids such as glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline are released from the bones and connective tissue. Animal Based offers beef bone broth in two forms – as a powder and as a concentrate in a jar.

Bone broth powder or concentrate – what is the difference?

The bone broth powder is dehydrated broth with a collagen content of approx. 81%. Ten grams in 250 ml of hot water makes a cup of broth. It can also be stirred into soups, sauces, and stews. Available in 200 g and 500 g, halal-certified.

The organic bone broth concentrate is a paste-like, reduced form in a jar. One teaspoon in 200 ml of water makes one serving. Available in 220 g with approx. 22 servings and 440 g with approx. 44 servings, certified organic under DE-ÖKO-039.

Origin of raw materials

All bone broth products from Animal Based are made from the bones of grass-fed cattle from Sweden. Bottling and packaging take place in Germany.

Ingredients

Bone broth powder: Beef bones and water. Organic bone broth concentrate: Beef bones (52%), water, salt. No additives, no binders, no sugar, and no flavor enhancers.

Cook it yourself or buy it ready-made?

Home-cooked bone broth requires several hours of cooking time, a large pot, and plenty of refrigerator space. Powder and concentrate provide the same foundation in a matter of seconds – easy to dose, store, and require no preparation.

Quality control

Every batch is tested for microbiology and heavy metals in an accredited German laboratory. The test reports are publicly viewable and can be assigned to your specific package via the batch number on the packaging.
