Gelatin or collagen hydrolysate? Both come from the same raw material and only differ in the extent to which the collagen has been broken down. Gelatin gels and sets in the refrigerator – ideal for fruit gummies, panna cotta, and desserts. Collagen hydrolysate does not gel and dissolves even in cold drinks – ideal for stirring in. If you want something to set, you need gelatin.
Beef gelatin is made from collagen-rich bovine raw material and naturally contains amino acids typical of collagen, such as glycine and proline.
From which animal? From cattle, exclusively. Around 80% of the edible gelatin used in Europe is made from pork rinds, and there is generally no requirement to specify the animal species. With us, it is stated on the packaging.
Origin and husbandry: The raw material for our grass-fed beef gelatin comes from grass-fed cattle in Turkey. Processing takes place in Switzerland, while filling and packaging occur in Germany.
Halal certification: Our beef gelatin is halal-certified by m-haditec GmbH, Bremen (Reg. No. 150527haevoey). The raw material, production, and packaging have been audited.
Laboratory testing: Every batch is additionally tested in an accredited German laboratory for microbiology and heavy metals – the analyses are publicly accessible and can be assigned via the batch number on your packaging.

Beef gelatin powder is edible bovine gelatin in powder form. It is used in the kitchen to gel liquids, stabilize creams, or refine sauces and savory dishes.
Our beef gelatin is neutral in taste, easy to dose, and versatile – ideal for desserts, gummies, panna cotta, cake fillings, sauces, soups, and aspic.
You can use our beef gelatin for both sweet and savory recipes. It is particularly well-suited for panna cotta, fruit gums, gummies, creams, mousse, cake fillings, jelly, sauces, soups, aspic, and other recipes where a firmer or creamier consistency is desired.
Gelatin should first be stirred or sprinkled into a little cold water and left to swell for about 5 minutes. Afterwards, it is dissolved over low heat while stirring – do not boil.
You can then stir it directly into warm dishes. For cold dishes, it is best to first mix a little of the cold mixture with the dissolved gelatin and then fold it in.
As a guideline, we recommend approx. 9g of gelatin per 500ml of liquid. Depending on the recipe and the desired firmness, the amount may vary.
For softer creams or desserts, you usually need less gelatin, while for firm gummies, cake fillings, or aspic, you need correspondingly more.
Our bovine gelatin is largely neutral in taste, making it suitable for both sweet and savory recipes. It can be easily incorporated into desserts, sauces, soups, creams, or baking recipes without significantly altering the flavor.
